Santa Tracker starts TONIGHT!

Hello!

I cannot even contain my excitement! The Santa Tracker will go online very late tonight! I’ve been tracking Santa with this team for 10 years and there is nothing like it. The Tracking Center is such a joyful place since everyone there believes in the Christmas spirit.

Here’s a few important details that I wanted to share. First off, our tracking team will arrive tonight (12/23) in the early evening. Once everyone arrives, we will begin booting the tracking system. This can take a couple of hours and requires our computers to connect to a number of GPS satellites. You may notice some of the online Tracking Center features start to come alive as we turn our computers on.

We expect that Santa will likely leave in the very early hours of Christmas Eve (although his time varies every year). What we do know is that there is a large sendoff around the Grand Tree in the North Pole village. So when we start seeing lots of elves gathering around the tree, we know that Santa will leave soon after.

While you track Santa, you can simply open the Tracking Center and follow his movements on the map. There shouldn’t be any reason for you to have to refresh the page since updates happen automatically. You can also check out the other fun things that our Santa Tracker website has to offer while you wait.

We also will be posting updates on our Twitter page, @TheSantaTracker!

See you guys later!

Santa Tracker 2018

We are only two days away from our Santa Tracker 2018 event! Tonight we will run an annual update on our GPS software to ensure that it is ready for Santa’s big day. A few of us all will also finish hanging Christmas decorations around the tracking center.

It’s hard to believe that many of us will be tracking Santa with our Santa Tracker for the 10th year! Time sure does fly!

We still have so much to do to get ready, but I’ll try to write another post later about how our tracking system works. Here’s to hoping that everything will work perfectly this year!

Santa Tracker Central

I can’t even believe that we are only a few days away from Christmas Eve! The Santa Tracking crew will gather on December 23rd to begin their long shift of tracking Santa.

Some of my favorite memories from past years include our annual “Ugly Christmas Sweater” contest. Last year, I found a really cool (I mean ugly) Christmas Sweater and I actually came in second place! This year I hope to come in first place, especially since I spent the past few months trying to find the best sweater to buy.

Another favorite tradition is the annual Santa Tracker map game. Every year, we take a vote on the next place Santa is going to stop. The person who is closest gets a point and the person with the most points at the end wins a trophy!

I hope you will join us on December 24th as we track Santa! It’s going to be a blast! Just remember to visit our Santa Tracker to stay up to date!
