Any guesses where Santa will be heading next? We certainly have a pretty good idea (from his routes during previous years) but we want to hear some guesses! Our only hint is that Santa is crossing the Atlantic Ocean right now.
Santa Claus has just finished up London, England. He will be continuing to visit houses along the way as he heads towards Scotland. This is slightly different since two years ago Santa went from London to Northern Ireland. After Scotland, we anticipate that Santa will likely take advantage of a fast Southern wind current and clear skies and head down to Northern and Southern Ireland.
We received reports via our Santa Tracking center that Santa has encountered chimney fires. Although there have only been a dozen or so incidents, each one has the potential to cause great issues. Make sure that your chimney is cleaned (not necessarily tonight, but in general) and that you put out the fire before you go to bed. Luckily Santa has not been injured but we want to make sure that no accidents happen.
Again, Santa Claus is fine but we have received reports that he has arrived at a number of houses with chimney fires. Santa will attempt to stop at those houses later so long as the fires are out by then.
The tracking team is currently following Santa Claus and he travels from Nigeria and heads up the Western African coast towards Algeria. Santa is of course visiting houses along the way but we anticipate that he will be arriving in Algeria within the next minute or two. Santa will then continue traveling North up coast back into Europe (it’s huge!).
If anyone has any sightings of the sleigh along the way, please let us know so we can update the Santa Tracker!
Santa has headed south down the western border of Africa. He finished up Kenya approximately 15 minute ago and has since crossed the border into Zimbabwe. Hopefully he will stay safe from the local wildlife..I’m not sure the lions would play nice with the reindeer (good thing they can fly).
Given the route that Santa has taken the last two years, our Santa Tracker predicts that Santa will most likely continue down to South Africa and then make a sharp turn North heading back towards Europe. However, as well all know Santa is in charge so this year could certainly be different.
Santa has just finished up Azerbaijan and is currently enroute to Georgia, more specifically the city of Tsalka. The two cities are relatively close to one another so we anticipate that Santa will arrive in Georgia within the next minute. Overall we are extremely impressed with how efficient Santa has been this year. Traditionally Santa will have to skip a number of houses due to children being awake but this year he has actually had to do this less than in years past. Hopefully this trend will continue because the more houses he skips, the longer his trip will end up being (since he will have to travel a lot more than he normally would).
Keep your eyes glued to the Santa Tracker for the latest tracking data.
Those tracking with us in India, prepare for Santa to enter the country very shortly. We are predicting that he will be making several stops along the way as he travels towards Chennai.
Currently the sled as slowed down to 4,567 mph and is currently heading slightly northwest. Another fun fact is that Santa Claus has eaten a TON of cookies so far with his favorites being sugar cookies and gingerbread.
Santa has reached Thailand and is currently circulating through central Thailand. His pace has picked up and he is completing entire cities in a matter of seconds. Not too long ago, Santa Claus also passed through Vietnam. We received several reports from people in Vietnam who claim to have seen a bright red light shoot past in the sky. We are attempting to compare our tracking data to their locations but at this time we strongly feel that these sightings are valid.
Current tracking data currently shows that Santa will likely travel south near Yala and the Straits of Malacca. We will continue to monitor with the Santa Tracker.
